Meet the Editor

ANNOUNCEMENT: SYPLaunch – Society of Young Publishers’ Mentoring Scheme Mentee!

When I first made the decision to go freelance, I was quite scared about the future. I was worried about the unstable nature of working for myself, let alone starting my business whilst thousands of miles from home and having no real business experience whatsoever. I looked at myself and thought, ‘Are you winging this?’ However, what I did have was lots of enthusiasm, editorial experience and a voracious love of crime, thriller and suspense fiction.

This is why I love my job, because I get to do what I love every day.

But that only happens because of my lovely authors.

So, my priority at Rebecca Millar Editorial is to provide the highest quality and most up-to-date editorial advice to my authors so that I can really help them along the road to their publishing dreams. I want you to be a successful author as much as you do!

In this way, I’m always trying to improve the service packages I offer so that I can ensure I’m giving my authors the what they need.

Therefore, I’m delighted to announce that I’ve been selected for this year’s Society of Young Publisher’s Mentoring Scheme in the inaugural year of #SYPLaunch, which focuses on mentoring freelancers and entrepreneurs like me in the publishing world, working with us to build our businesses so that we can continue to help our authors.

I’m super excited to be working with my mentor and multi-talented superstar Abiola Bello author and co-founder of The Author School. We’ll be working together on how I can make Rebecca Millar Editorial the best it can be, so I can then continue to help make your manuscripts the best they can be too!

Can you tell I’m rather excited?
